Lakesong

Set against the charming and quaint backwaters of Kumarakom, Lakesong is a heritage 4-star resort just 80 km from the Cochin International Airport. It roughly takes two hours to reach the resort from the airport. The resort is beautifully designed in ancient wood craft that reflects the bygone era’s elegance and artistic intricacies. There are two types of ancient techniques used to build the villas – laterite rocks construction and interlocking brickworks.

The resort serves a variety of cuisines including Indian, traditional Kerala, Chinese, Continental, Jain, and barbecue that will spoil your guests with unlimited options. The five acre backwater property has one banquet hall, one lawn, and 28 heritage villas, which you can book entirely for your wedding.

Venues at Lakesong

1. Banquet Hall

Styled in ancient mid-century pattern, the banquet hall accommodates 300 people in buffet setting and 180 people in seated-plate setting. You can host your reception party, mehendi, and sangeet ceremonies at the banquet hall.

2. Outdoor Lawn

Covered in a canopy of coconut palms, the outdoor lawn at the resort is perfect for wedding ceremonies and reception parties. It faces the backwaters of Kumarakom, which is the most beautiful backdrop for all the ceremonies. The lawn can accommodate around 350 people in buffet setting.

Rooms at Lakesong

1. Vembanadu

All the villas at the Lakesong Resort are built on the banks of its in-built canal. The Vembanadu villa has a simple interior design, which is a blend of classic contemporary and traditional Kerala furniture. The villa has a sitting area, work desk, and a king-sized bed.

2. Ashtamudi

The Ashtamudi villas will take you back in time with its mid-century interiors. The antic wall lamps and co-ordinated furniture are the highlight of this villa. They come with a super sized bed that is the most comfortable bed you’ll ever come across.

3. Punnamada

The villa is built using the ancient interlocking brickworks technique. Floored with marble and furnished with traditional Kerala furniture, the Punnamada villas are also decorated in Kerala textiles. The villa also has a sitting area and small dining area for two people.
